How often data updates

A new rank or game reaches your box in two steps: LoboBot fetches it from Riot, and the box in OBS asks LoboBot for it. Each step runs on its own schedule, so a change can take a while to show on stream. This page lists both schedules.

How long LoboBot keeps Riot data

LoboBot keeps a copy of each account's Riot data. When one of your boxes asks for it and the copy is older than the time below, LoboBot fetches a fresh one from Riot.

LoboBot only fetches from Riot when a box asks, and all the boxes of an account share the same copy. Creating more boxes does not make the data arrive sooner.

How often your widgets ask for data

WidgetAsks for new data
League of Legends boxEvery 10 minutes
Teamfight Tactics boxEvery 2 minutes
Spotify BoxEvery 5 seconds, straight from Spotify. Style changes you make in the dashboard show within 5 minutes.
!song chat commandOn each use. LoboBot asks Spotify again when its last answer is more than 10 seconds old.

From your game to your stream

Add the two schedules together to get the longest wait:

BoxLongest wait
League of LegendsAbout 30 minutes: the 20-minute copy plus the box's 10-minute refresh.
Teamfight TacticsAbout 12 minutes: the 10-minute copy plus the box's 2-minute refresh.

It is often shorter: it depends on when your game ends compared with LoboBot's last fetch.

The clock starts when Riot has your game

These times count from the moment Riot publishes the result of your game. LoboBot cannot show a game before that.

Reloading the source does not skip the wait

Refreshing the browser source in OBS makes the box ask right away, but LoboBot still answers with its copy until that copy is older than the times above. On a v6 box, a reload also resets the session.
